Porsche Studio Ginza
Overview
Porsche Studio Ginza is a brand studio rather than a dealership floor: Porsche's own urban concept space on the ground floor of the Shiodome City Center tower, a few minutes from Ginza, run by the Porsche Center Takanawa group and built for people who have never sat in one as much as for owners. The 297 square metre room shows the current range with the electric models to the front, and the cars rotate with launches and events, so the floor you get is the floor Porsche Japan is talking about that month, not a fixed collection.
Around the cars are two simulators for a virtual back to back drive, digital walls and a touchscreen configurator, a bar with lounge seating, and the largest display of Porsche Design and lifestyle goods in the country: luggage, apparel and business accessories. Porsche Pro staff cover the electric range, test drives can be arranged through the studio, and it hosts a calendar of events, from seasonal evenings to model launches. The Momentum by Porsche, a Porsche certified restaurant, is in the same complex for the meal after.
It is free and walk in, open weekdays 11am to 7pm and weekends 10am to 6pm, with Shiodome and Shimbashi stations at the base of the tower and ten underground parks in the complex. Ask before you photograph or film; it is a working showroom.
What to Expect
A manufacturer brand studio: free, walk in, and different every season.
- Expect the current Porsche range, never a specific car; the room, the simulators and the goods wall are the constants.
- The latest models with EVs forward, on rotation with launches and events.
- Two simulators for virtual comparison drives and a touchscreen configurator to spec a car on the spot.
- Japan's largest Porsche lifestyle goods display, plus a bar and lounge to sit in.
- Open to everyone, not only owners; test drives bookable through the studio.
- Events through the year, announced on the studio's page.
- The Momentum by Porsche, a certified restaurant, in the same complex.
- Allow 15 to 45 minutes, longer with the simulators or the restaurant.
Things to Note
- Weekdays 11am to 7pm, weekends and public holidays 10am to 6pm; no closing day is published, so check the Shiodome City Center shop guide for holiday hours. Phone 03 6215 9111.
- Ask staff before taking photos or video; no policy is published and it is a place of business.
- Cars on the floor are display models that rotate; the story of each car is not published.
- Ten underground parking spaces in the complex car park; transit is the easier way, with Shiodome and Shimbashi stations at the tower.
