The Layby Lincs
Overview
A small adults-only glamping site made from five uniquely converted vehicles, each a self-contained unit with a kingsize bed and private facilities. Units include a 1955 Airstream, a 1971 Chevy RV, a racehorse transporter and two vintage campers.
On-site features include private bathrooms with rainfall showers, outdoor kitchen/BBQ areas and a wood-fired hot tub (one night’s use included). The site is solar-powered and sits on the southern edge of the Lincolnshire Wolds, about a short drive from the Skegness coast.
What to Expect
Expect a quiet, rural stay in compact, themed accommodation designed for two adults. Spaces prioritise character and private outdoor living rather than large interiors.
Look out for:
- Five themed units (Peggy Sue, Alabama, Gee Gee, Dennis, Willy), each for 2 adults with a private bathroom.
- On-site amenities: kingsize bed, air conditioning, outdoor kitchen/BBQ and a wood-fired hot tub (one night included).
- A small, adults-only site that is pet-friendly if you notify the host in advance.
- Strong sustainability practices: extensive solar panels, battery storage and on-site recycling systems.
Best way to experience it: Drive in and use the site as a base for coastal days or walks in the Lincolnshire Wolds. Pack for relaxed outdoor evenings—the hot tub and BBQ are the best night-time features.
Things to Note
