Subaru Star Square
Overview
SUBARU STAR SQUARE is Subaru's own showroom on the ground floor of its Tokyo headquarters in Ebisu, and its point of difference is the one Subaru itself makes: it is a manufacturer's showroom with a Subaru dealer directly alongside, so you can walk from the brand's display to a sales floor without leaving the building. It is free and walk in, three minutes from the east exit of JR Ebisu station.
The floor rotates. Around seven current models are displayed at a time, in the trim and colours Subaru wants to show that season, and the published set changes through the year: Levorg and Levorg Layback, Forester, Crosstrek and the Solterra EV at the moment, with Tokyo Auto Salon show cars (STI Sport R-Black Limited versions of the Levorg and WRX S4, a BRZ STI Sport) landing on the floor after the show and themed displays with Subaru's partners in between. Go to see what Subaru is showing this month, not a particular car; the Pleiades star cluster the company is named for is the constant, on the badge and in the name.
It is a short visit in a busy neighbourhood: open 10am to 6pm with irregular closing days published monthly on the showroom page, no parking of its own, and Ebisu's restaurants and the Yebisu Garden Place precinct around the corner for the rest of the outing.
What to Expect
A manufacturer's headquarters showroom, free, with the dealer next door.
- Expect the current Subaru range on rotation, around seven cars in the trims Subaru is pushing that season; never a specific car.
- Tokyo Auto Salon show cars and STI Sport special editions between shows, and partner themed displays.
- A Subaru dealer directly adjoining, so the display floor leads straight into a sales floor if you want to talk numbers.
- Walk in, no ticket, allow 15 to 45 minutes.
- Ask before photographing or filming; no policy is published and it is a working showroom.
- No parking: JR Ebisu east exit three minutes, Hibiya Line exit 1 four minutes.
Things to Note
- Open 10am to 6pm; closing days are irregular and listed month by month on subaru.jp/showroom (16 September in September 2026). Phone 03 6447 8880.
- No visitor parking; use the station or nearby coin parking.
- Goods and cafe facilities are not published; treat it as a display floor.
- Not to be confused with Subaru's other visitor facilities outside central Tokyo.
