Offroadpark Böser Wolf
Overview
Offroadpark Böser Wolf is a 70‑hectare private off‑road site near Knüllwald that combines forest tracks, sand and clay pits, basalt quarry sections and water holes. The park is run by Knüllwalder Tagebau GmbH & Co. and operates a public season with supervised free‑driving days and organised events.
The site is open to road‑legal off‑road vehicles (quads and motorcycles excluded), with marked tracks, a site map on arrival and rules that include insurance and a 20 km/h limit. Camping and training events are available during the main season (April–October).
What to Expect
Expect a varied off‑road terrain that stresses vehicle traction, ground clearance and driver technique.
Look out for:
- Deep sand and clay pits, steep climbs and descents carved from the quarry and Tagebau area.
- Water crossings and mud holes that test vehicle waterproofing and approach angles.
- Forest tracks with weight limits (forest area max 5 t) and tighter routes for smaller vehicles.
- Designated lines and marked stages; you must stay on the tracks and follow the site map and house rules.
Best way to experience it:
Arrive with a road‑legal off‑road vehicle, proof of motor liability/sport insurance and basic recovery gear. Use a slower pace to learn the stages on public free‑driving days, and consider booking training sessions or organised events for coaching on technical sections.
Things to Note
- Open to road‑legal off‑road vehicles; quads and motorcycles are excluded.
- Drivers must carry valid motor liability or sport insurance and follow the house rules.
- Main season is April–October (weekend public hours listed on the site); winter visits are by request.
- Camping and organised trainings are available; check the event calendar before you go.
