Hampshire Models

Hampshire Models is a specialist model railway retailer based at Basepoint Business Centre in Basingstoke, selling new and second‑hand locomotives, rolling stock and accessories via its shop and online store. The company also buys good‑quality model railway collections and provides contact details for enquiries.

The shop operates from a workshop-style unit rather than a high-street storefront, so expect a focused retail and mail‑order operation with stock that reflects both current manufactures and second‑hand finds. Check their contact page or call before visiting to confirm stock or collection arrangements.

A compact, specialist model railway shop operating from a business centre unit; useful for hobbyists looking for both new releases and second‑hand items.

Look out for:

• New and pre-owned locomotives, rolling stock and scenic accessories.

• Opportunities to sell or have collections assessed; the business explicitly buys good-quality model railway stock.

• A workshop-style layout and limited on-site browsing space compared with larger retail stores.

• Online/mail-order support if you prefer to shop remotely.

Best way to experience it: Visit during weekday opening hours or call ahead to confirm stock or to arrange collection of items you’re selling. Prepare model details and photos if enquiring about selling a collection.

• Shop is located in a business centre unit rather than a high-street shop; parking and access may differ.

• Opening hours are limited to weekdays; check the website or call before travelling.

• The business buys good-quality model railway collections—email or phone first to describe items.

• Online/mail-order sales are supported if you can’t visit in person.
