Caramulo Experience Center

Caramulo Experience Center is a 2,400 m² facility in a converted industrial building that houses a working classic‑car restoration workshop, exhibition space, documentation centre and shop. It opened in 2022 as an extension of the Museu do Caramulo and displays vehicles not normally on public view.

Visitors can watch active restoration work, browse the museum reserves and purchase restoration‑grade parts and memorabilia. The centre is about 1 km from the Museu do Caramulo and operates daily with set morning and afternoon hours.

On-site experience

• Observe technicians working on classic‑car restoration in an open workshop area.
• See reserve vehicles from the Museu do Caramulo that aren’t usually exhibited.
• Short explanatory panels and a documentation centre with historical materials.
• Small shop selling parts, books and branded products.

Best way to experience it

• Combine a visit with the Museu do Caramulo (there is a discounted combo ticket).
• Allow 60–90 minutes to watch restorations, read displays and browse the shop.
• Weekday visits can be quieter for better viewing of workshop activity.

• Opening hours: 10:00–13:00 and 14:00–18:00 daily.
• Closed 24–25 Dec, 1 Jan and Easter Sunday morning.
