Cafe Base

CAFE BASE is a small mountain café operated by the nonprofit K2 near the Kanpūzan trailhead on the UFO Line. The cabin-style spot sits at about 1,100 m and focuses on single-origin, self-roasted coffee and simple takeaway drinks.

The café mainly opens on fine-weather weekends and holidays (roughly 11:00–16:00) and currently operates as a one-person, takeaway-only service—perfect for hikers or drivers stopping for a hot drink and mountain views.

You’ll order at a counter in a converted mountain cabin and receive freshly roasted, freshly milled coffee served hot or iced. Seating is limited; the emphasis is takeaway and enjoying the outdoors around the trailhead.
