Buckmore Park Karting
Overview
Buckmore Park is an internationally recognised outdoor kart circuit in Chatham, Kent, set in the North Kent Downs. The MSA‑approved track is commonly cited at around 1,200 metres and hosts national karting championships.
The venue runs arrive‑and‑drive rental sessions for juniors and adults, plus corporate events, birthday parties and organised race weekends. It’s a practical choice for anyone wanting genuine track experience close to junction 3 of the M2.
What to Expect
Expect a purposeful race venue rather than an amusement‑style track. Sessions use full‑sized karts for adults and smaller karts for juniors; layout and safety briefings are standard before you go out.
Look out for:
- The roughly 1,200 m international‑standard circuit with technical corners used in national series.
- Separate junior and adult sessions and event days for competitive racing.
- Onsite briefing, marshals and race control typical of an MSA‑approved venue.
- Corporate and party packages that run during quieter daytime slots.
Best way to experience it: Book an arrive‑and‑drive session or a supervised corporate package in advance and arrive early for the safety briefing and helmet fitting. If you want racing atmosphere, check the event calendar and join a race day to see competitive karting.
Things to Note
- Located off junction 3 of the M2; allow time for rural access and limited onsite parking.
- Wear flat, comfortable shoes; helmets and safety equipment are provided on rental sessions.
- Suitable for children in junior sessions, but check age/height limits with the venue before booking.
- Popular at weekends and on championship dates—book sessions in advance to secure a slot.
