Kuwait is the world's most committed American muscle nation outside the US — a Gulf country where horsepower is national identity. The Dodge Charger, Challenger, Camaro, Mustang, and Corvette are everywhere, often modified hard, and the drag racing community at Kuwait Motor Town runs deep. The combination of disposable income, cheap fuel, and a young population obsessed with American muscle has produced one of the most extreme straight-line car cultures in the Gulf.

The wider scene runs alongside the muscle car obsession. Modified Japanese imports — particularly the Nissan Patrol and Toyota Land Cruiser, both of which get heavy aftermarket treatment in Kuwait — have built their own subculture. The Patrol in particular has become a regional icon, with locally-built versions making serious power for desert running and on-road shows. Kuwait Motor Town, opened in 2019, gave the country a permanent FIA Grade 1 circuit to build around. And once the cool season arrives, the desert opens up — dune driving, off-road weekends, and informal gatherings of modified trucks become the rhythm.
