Val Tho Motoneige
Overview
Val Tho Motoneige runs guided snowmobile excursions from the Rond-Point des Pistes next to the Chalet Cosmojet in Val Thorens. Rides are offered daily in the winter season and include options for drivers and passengers.
Tours run after the slopes close for night rides and during the day in peak season. English and French guides, helmets provided; drivers must hold a category B licence and children are accepted from age 8.
What to Expect
You’ll meet at the Chalet Motoneige at Rond-Point des Pistes and get fitted with an integrated-visor helmet before a short safety briefing. Guided routes follow groomed pistes and marked high-altitude tracks around Val Thorens, with photo stops and panoramic views.
What you'll do:
- Safety briefing and helmet fitting.
- Drive or ride as a passenger on guided loops across groomed snowmobile tracks.
- Photo stops with mountain and resort views.
- Evening departures after piste closure for night rides (example times: 17:30, 18:45).
Best way to experience it: Arrive with warm gloves and layered outerwear, bring your driving licence if you plan to drive, and plan to book or confirm availability early in peak weeks as slots sell out.
Things to Note
- Drivers must have a category B driving licence.
- Children accepted from age 8; passengers charged at a lower rate.
- Helmets provided; bring warm gloves and goggles.
- Seasonal operations run roughly December–May; confirm exact dates and times.
