Up Garage Aizu Inter Store (会津インター店)

UP GARAGE 会津インター店 is the Aizuwakamatsu branch of Japan's UP GARAGE chain, which buys and sells used car and motorcycle parts. Stock typically covers used tyres and wheels, suspensions, mufflers, navigation and audio units, seats and other accessories.

The store operates a walk-in purchase counter where owners can have parts assessed and sold on the spot, alongside retail shelves of second-hand and new-old-stock items. Inventory changes constantly depending on what comes in locally.

A warehouse-style used-parts store where browsing is half the fun — stock rotates constantly.

Look out for:

• Racks of used tyres and alloy wheels in a wide range of sizes.

• Suspensions, mufflers and exterior parts for common Japanese models.

• Car electronics such as navigation units, audio and dash cams.

• The buy-back counter if you have parts of your own to sell.

Best way to experience it:

Visit with your vehicle's specs (model, year, sizes) so you can check compatibility on the spot, and allow time to browse — good finds depend on what has recently come in.
