Toyota Motor Kyushu Miyata Plant
Overview
Miyata Plant is Toyota Motor Kyushu’s main assembly site in Miyawaka, Fukuoka, where Lexus models are produced and showcased in the PR building. The site offers guided tours that explain production processes and display current models in the visitor area.
Tours are free but require advance reservation and run on weekdays; visits include a PR館 hub with exhibits and a roughly 90‑minute factory walkthrough. Photography and mobile device use are restricted on the shop floor, and all guidance is provided in Japanese.
What to Expect
A guided, roughly 90‑minute visit that starts at the PR building with displays and hands‑on corners, then continues to observe assembly operations from designated viewing areas.
Look out for:
- Lexus models and rotating exhibits in the PR館.
- Live assembly lines observed from safe viewing zones (no photography on the floor).
- The introductory theater and hands‑on skill corners in the visitor hub.
- Staff demonstrations and explanations delivered in Japanese.
Best way to experience it:
Book well in advance through the official reservation page, arrive at the PR building on time, and bring an interpreter if you do not understand Japanese. Plan for no on‑site lunch facilities and follow staff instructions about device restrictions during the tour.
Things to Note

- Tours operate mainly Monday–Friday; individual slots are seasonal.
- Cameras, phones and other radio‑emitting devices are not allowed on the factory floor.
