The Model Shop

A long-established independent model and hobby shop on Wellingborough Road, The Model Shop serves model-railway enthusiasts, slot-car racers and RC hobbyists with a wide selection of major brands. Their shop also supports local clubs and appears regularly in regional model-society listings.

You can buy in person or via the web shop; the store lists phone and email contact details on its site and has consumer reviews available on Trustpilot and local directories for reference.

A friendly, specialist retail shop focused on scale modelling and radio-controlled vehicles. Staff can advise on kits, paints, scenic materials and compatible parts.

Look out for:

• Large selection of Hornby, Bachmann, Peco, Airfix, Tamiya and Humbrol products.

• Slot cars and RC cars/boats/planes plus accessories and spare parts.

• Paints, tools and scenic supplies for model railway layouts.

• An active web shop for online ordering and catalogue browsing.

Best way to experience it:

Call or email ahead for specific stock checks, or browse the online shop to confirm availability before visiting; expect a specialist, advice-driven shopping experience rather than a large-chain showroom.

• Phone and public email are listed on the official site for enquiries.

• Web shop available for online orders and product checks.

• Established in 1937 with local club and exhibition ties.

• Typically open weekdays and Saturdays; closed Sundays (check the site or call for current hours).
