OnlyJDM is a Tokyo JDM rental house with two stores and a fleet past forty cars, and the Haneda main store at Omori-minami in Ota, five minutes from Haneda Airport by the operator's own reckoning, is the one built for the arriving traveller. The list is the widest in the city: R35 and R32 GT-Rs, ER34 and HR34 Skylines, S15 and S13 Silvias, the Z lineage from 300ZX through 350Z and 370Z to the RZ34, A80 and A90 Supras, GR Yaris, GR86 and GT86, an FD3S RX-7 and RX-8, three generations of MX-5, Civic Type Rs from EK9 to FL5, an AP1 S2000, Evo VII through X, a GRF WRX STI, an LC 500 and RC F, and Copen and Cappuccino kei sports cars. Each car page states its store, its gearbox and whether snow tyres are fitted, so check where your car lives before you book the handover.
Hires sell in 7 hour and 24 hour blocks, ¥7,000 to ¥90,000 for 7 hours and ¥8,000 to ¥100,000 for 24 across the fleet (an R35 is ¥53,000 and ¥59,000, a 2000 S15 ¥26,000 and ¥28,000), with 5% off from three days, 15% from seven and 20% past fourteen. Each 24 hours includes 200 km, then ¥55 a kilometre. Every car carries its own refundable deposit, ¥50,000 on an S15 up to ¥200,000 on the R35, released about ten business days after return, and a per day insurance choice: Lite at around ¥3,000 covers third party property only, Premium at ¥12,000 to ¥18,000 adds repair costs and the non operation charge up to a cap by grade.
Who can drive is graded by car. GT-R, BNR32, RX-7, LC500 and S2000 need 26 years of age and three years licensed; everything else 23 and three years; the operator's own self drive tours drop to 21. Manual cars need a manual licence, original passport or residence card, no copies. Store hours are 10am to 6:30pm with multilingual staff, and there is no closed day published.
