Nissan Heritage Collection
Overview
The Nissan Heritage Collection in Zama is a company-operated archive housing hundreds of historic Nissan, Datsun and Prince vehicles across eight decades. Displays include production models, race cars and prototypes preserved by Nissan’s Zama Heritage Car Garage.
Public visits are by reservation and run as guided tours; Nissan organizes visitor logistics including a short minibus transfer from the site gate to the guest hall. The collection is on Nissan’s Zama Operation Center campus in Kanagawa Prefecture.
What to Expect
A compact, curator-led visit focused on automotive history, restoration and corporate archives.
Look out for:
- Early Datsun models and postwar Prince vehicles.
- Iconic race cars and motorsport exhibits.
- Prototype and concept cars that never reached production.
- Well-preserved interiors and engineering displays showing manufacturing heritage.
Best way to experience it:
Book a guided reservation through Nissan’s Heritage reservation page, arrive at the Zama Operation Center main gate on time for the minibus transfer, and allow the guided tour for access to the collection and curator commentary.
