Næstved Automobilmuseum
Overview
Næstved Automobilmuseum displays roughly 175 cars and about 100 motorcycles across some 3,400 m² on three floors, plus agricultural machines, a plane, model trains and reconstructed 1950s shops. The collection is a private museum founded by Inge and Peder Spandet and is a member of the Motorhistorisk Samråd.
Located at Skellet 19 by Næstved Havn, the museum provides a printed map on arrival, a café on site and practical parking (including bus parking). The venue also offers a 360°/3D online tour and video on its official website.
What to Expect
Start with a short introductory walk through dense displays of cars and bikes arranged by era and theme.
Look out for:
- About 175 cars and ~100 motorcycles/knallerter spanning early 20th century to more recent classics.
- Reconstructed 1950s street scenes, workshops and nostalgia displays.
- Larger exhibits such as agricultural machines and a small aircraft.
- On‑site Vintage Coffee Shop and a printed museum map given to visitors.
Best way to experience it:
Allow 1.5–2 hours to move between floors, read exhibits and visit the café; pick up the museum map on arrival and start at the top floor to work down if you prefer a logical chronology.
