MUVI
Overview
MUVI interprets Villafranca de los Barros through 12 themed rooms, tracing local life from the Paleolithic to the present and showcasing regional music traditions. The ground floor and basement host a curated collection of historic and classic vehicles.
Housed in a rehabilitated late‑18th‑century townhouse, the museum reopened with renewed displays in 2013 and uses room‑by‑room interpretation to connect objects, vehicles and local stories across rural Extremadura.
What to Expect
A compact, well‑signposted local museum that combines social history, music and a small classic‑car collection.

- A dedicated music section showing local instruments and popular traditions.
- Ground‑floor and basement displays of historic/classic vehicles, arranged with contextual information.
- Period architecture and restored interiors in the former town house.
Best way to experience it:
Allow 60–90 minutes to move through the rooms at a steady pace, read the panel texts and see both the music exhibits and vehicle displays. Check the museum's downloadable leaflet for current opening days and any seasonal changes before you go.
