Museu Moto Bassella
Overview
Museu Moto Bassella displays a growing collection of around 190 motorcycles, from early machines to modern and race bikes, plus memorabilia and a recreated village workshop. The museum is run by the Fundació Privada Museu Moto Mario Soler and continues the Soler family’s collection and interpretation.
Located on the C-14 at km 134 in Bassella (Lleida), the museum offers both permanent and temporary exhibitions and is a focal point for regional motorcycle events such as Bassella Race and Bassella Revival.
What to Expect
A focused, compact museum tracing local and international motorcycle history with vehicles displayed alongside workshop tools and archival material.
Look out for:
- Early vintage models and a large selection of competition bikes.
- A restored workshop exhibit showing traditional repair and maintenance tools.
- Rotating temporary exhibitions and event-related displays.
- Informal interpretation aimed at enthusiasts and general visitors.
Best way to experience it:
Plan a mid-morning visit to follow the displays at a relaxed pace, check the website or phone for event dates (which can make the site busier), and allow time to read the workshop displays that explain restoration and maintenance techniques.
