Motoveterán muzeum u Horákových
Overview
A family-run motomuseum housed in a former hostinec, displaying a focused collection of mostly Czech veteran motorcycles. The display grew from a single Jawa and now includes around 80 machines, from Jawa and Pionýr to Babetta and other regional makes.
The site is a private collection open by arrangement; the owner welcomes visitors who call ahead. The museum is a regional point of interest in Bříšťany and best visited as part of a local road trip or motorcycle tour.
What to Expect
Small, personal collection with close-up viewing of restored and unrestored bikes.
Look out for:
- Classic Czech models such as Jawa 350 OHV, Jawa 50 Pionýr and Babetta.
- Early pre-war and post-war veteran machines in tight, informal displays.
- Hand‑built restorations and original owner stories shared by the proprietor.
- The converted village-inn setting that gives the collection local character.
Best way to experience it: Call or email ahead to arrange your visit and a guided walkthrough; allow 45–90 minutes to see the exhibits and chat with the owner about provenance and mechanics.
