Motokáry Staré Město
Overview
Motokáry Staré Město is an outdoor karting circuit opened in 2016 and set inside the REC Group / KOVOZOO area on the edge of Staré Město. The track was designed by racer Michal Novický and combines technical sections and fast stretches on high-grip asphalt.
The venue runs public rides for children and adults, accessible two-seaters and disability-friendly karts, plus corporate teambuilding and a children's driving school. It's commonly paired with visits to KOVOZOO and nearby attractions.
What to Expect
Short introduction
Expect a medium-length outdoor asphalt circuit with a mix of technical corners and faster straights, protected by extensive tire barriers and built-from-material features typical of the REC Group site.
Look out for:
- Public sessions for children, adults and two-seater options for beginners or passengers.
- Accessibility options and karts suitable for people with disabilities.
- On-site combined packages with KOVOZOO, Off‑Road Centre activities and the Steelinka tourist train.
- Track surface designed for good grip; it remains usable in wet conditions but wet weather affects handling.
Best way to experience it:
Book or check availability in advance for weekend slots; combine a kart session with a KOVOZOO visit to make a half-day of activities. Arrive via the I/55 route or from Staré Město rail station and follow on-site directions in the REC Group complex.
Things to Note
- Located inside the REC Group / KOVOZOO complex; follow on-site signage to the Brněnská 1372 entrance.
- Reservation and session details vary; check the official site or call before you go.
- Helmets and safety briefings are provided; bring closed shoes and ID if required.
- Weather can affect sessions; the outdoor track may run differently in rain.
