Model-Box

MODEL‑BOX is a specialist model‑car shop with an attached café, run by Christoph and Margrit Zurbrügg‑Gerber. The shop has grown since 1996 into a large curated collection and a small retail outlet and café space.

Located on the Grand Tour of Switzerland route in Erlenbach im Simmental, MODEL‑BOX combines browsing vintage and modern die‑cast models with local hospitality and an active online presence via a webshop and social channels.

A compact, well‑stocked specialist shop where enthusiasts can browse thousands of die‑cast and scale models alongside a small café area.

Look out for:

• Extensive range across scales and eras, with many rare or discontinued pieces.

• Curated displays that make it easy to scan by brand, scale or theme.

• Webshop presence (Ricardo) for items not on the shop floor.

• Friendly owners who can advise on collecting and sourcing.

Best way to experience it:

Allow 30–60 minutes to browse, ask the owners about hard‑to‑find models, and pair your visit with a coffee in the café or a drive along the Grand Tour route. Call ahead for specific pieces or special requests.
