Kuijper's Hobbyhuis

Kuijper’s Hobbyhuis is a long-established specialist shop in central Utrecht selling model trains (including Märklin), model cars, kits and scenic materials. The store is operated by the Kuijper family and sits on Minrebroederstraat near a dedicated Märklin store opposite.

Visitors come for hard-to-find scales, expert advice and an on-site model train layout to see products in action. Check the official site or call for current opening hours before you go.

A compact specialist retail experience focused on model railways, modelling supplies and branded merchandise.

Look out for:

• A wide selection of Märklin products alongside other popular model-train brands.

• Model-building kits, scenic materials and accessories for layout construction.

• A treintafel (model train layout) where trains are displayed running.

• A separate Märklin Store across the street for brand-specific stock.

Best way to experience it:

Pop in during weekday opening hours to browse shelves and talk to knowledgeable staff; bring specifics (scale, brand, part numbers) if you need rare items or technical advice.

• Located at Minrebroederstraat 26 in central Utrecht; the Märklin store is opposite.

• Typical opening days are Tue–Sat; confirm hours on the official site before visiting.

• Phone and email for enquiries: +31 (0)30 231 5505, info@modeltreinstore.nl.

• Small shop footprint—busy times can feel crowded and parking is limited nearby.
