JMR Angers

JMR — Jouets Modèles Réduits is a specialist hobby and model shop in Angers’ Montaigne district, stocking scale models, radio‑controlled vehicles, paints and accessories. The family‑run store is known locally for its wide selection and knowledgeable staff.

The Angers branch operates as the main retail site for the JMR group (there’s also a Cholet location). It’s a practical stop for collectors, model builders and anyone looking for advice or hard‑to‑find parts.

A focused retail experience for model enthusiasts, with shelves of boxed kits, RC cars and planes, paints, tools and replacement parts.

Look out for:

• A broad range of plastic and die‑cast scale models (cars, trucks, military, aircraft).

• Radio‑controlled vehicles and spare parts for repairs or upgrades.

• Modelling paints, glues and finishing tools from major brands.

• Staff who can advise on parts compatibility and repair options.

Best way to experience it: Pop in during weekday mornings or afternoons (Tue–Sat) to avoid weekend crowds, bring reference photos or part numbers for quicker help, and ask staff for recommendations on compatibility or local modelling groups.

• Open Tue–Sat with morning and afternoon sessions; check the website for seasonal changes.

• Phone and email available for queries and stock checks.

• Small shop footprint—large or heavy items may require special handling.

• Cash and card typically accepted; call ahead for specific parts availability.
