Jaguar Daimler Heritage Trust
Overview
The Jaguar Daimler Heritage Trust cares for a curated collection of Jaguar, Daimler and predecessor-company vehicles and archival material held in the Collections Centre at the British Motor Museum in Gaydon. The Trust preserves and researches historic vehicles, and lends cars to exhibitions and events.
Visitor access to the Trust’s reserve collection is via the British Motor Museum: the Collections Centre on-site houses items not on permanent display in the main galleries. Confirm current opening times and visitor arrangements on the museum or Trust website before you go.
What to Expect
A focused look at preserved Jaguar and Daimler cars and related artifacts held in the Trust’s reserve collection. Displays emphasise historical models, restoration work and archive material rather than interactive exhibits.
Look out for:
- Rare or historically significant Jaguars and Daimlers from the Trust’s reserve collection.
- Archive photographs, documents and restoration details that explain provenance.
- Vehicles rotated between the Collections Centre and main museum displays.
- Opportunities to view conservation and storage practices (where available).
Best way to experience it: Arrive with your British Motor Museum admission; allow extra time for the Collections Centre visit if you want to study individual vehicles and archival displays. Check the Collections Centre visiting hours (listed as 11:00–17:00, last entry 16:30) and contact the Trust for specific enquiries.
