Fosfelle Glamping
Overview
Fosfelle Glamping is a family-run site on the Hartland peninsula offering themed glamping in a converted double-decker bus and coach, plus cottages and caravan/motorhome pitches. The site sits on about five acres with ponds, paddock and free-roaming small animals.
Facilities include hard-standing pitches with water and electric, quirky shower/toilet pods, bookable hot tub slots, e-bikes and a games room. The property is in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and promoted for good stargazing and biodiversity partnerships.
What to Expect
Set on a working country house estate, Fosfelle blends quirky converted vehicles with practical touring facilities and on-site animals. Expect compact, characterful sleeping spaces with basic kitchenettes and fenced outdoor seating for the glamping units.
Look out for:
- Bertram’s Bus: a red double-decker conversion with downstairs showers and upstairs king bed; outdoor fenced seating area.
- Joseph: a single-deck coach (dog-friendly where stairs permit) elevated above the paddock with shower and kitchenette.
- Five hard-standing caravan/motorhome pitches with water and electric and token-operated showers in hobbit-style pods.
- Free-roaming alpacas, pygmy goats and miniature donkeys across the paddock; good low-light stargazing on clear nights.
Best way to experience it:
Book a glamping unit for a short break to enjoy the novelty of the conversions, daytime walks on the Hartland peninsula and an evening stargaze; reserve any hot tub slot and check access notes before arrival.
Things to Note
- Hot tub access is by booked slot — check availability before arrival.
- Showers in the hobbit pods use a token system; bring essentials.
- Some glamping units require stairs; Joseph is the dog-friendly unit where stairs permit.
- Use the drive marked by a white post; site what3words for the drive: Tests.elbowing.slowly.
