Overview

Operated by the Fédération Internationale de Motocyclisme (FIM) in the former FIM headquarters, the Racing Motorcycle Museum (RMM) in Mies showcases authenticated race bikes across nine themed discovery zones. Exhibits range from early postwar machines to recent world‑championship machines and include a Hall of Fame and technical displays.

The site opened to the public in February 2026 and includes interactive elements such as a Triumph simulator, a Paddock Café, and an audio guide. It’s an easy short train ride from Geneva and sits in the Nyon / La Côte region, making it accessible as a half‑day outing for motorcycle fans and families.

What to Expect

Start with a concise walkthrough of the permanent collection and themed discovery zones that explain technology, safety and competition history.

Look out for:

  • Iconic race bikes (e.g., the 1949 AJS Porcupine and modern championship machines).
  • Dedicated zones for disciplines, safety and technical evolution.
  • The Sim Racing Experience (ride simulators on Triumph bikes).
  • Hall of Fame promenade and explanatory panels with provenance details.

Best way to experience it: Plan 1.5–2 hours to see displays, try the simulator (additional fee), and visit the Paddock Café. An audio guide is available for a small extra charge and helps identify key machines and stories.

Things to Note

  • Open Wednesday–Sunday, 10:00–18:00; café open longer (check site before visiting).
  • Admission fees apply (adult and concession categories listed on the official site).
  • Audio guide and simulator have additional charges.
  • Located on Route de Suisse in Mies; reachable by regional train from Geneva/Nyon.
