Erlebnis Trabant

Erlebnis Trabant rents classic East German Trabant 601s for self-drive, chauffeur services and events in and around Hildesheim. The operator publishes vehicle galleries, online booking/gift vouchers and two tariff families on its website.

Bookings are handled via an online inquiry form and gift vouchers; the site lists weekday example rates (Kilometertarif €109, Sorglos €129) and weekend/multi‑day packages. Verify current availability, exact pickup address and final pricing on the official site before you book.

Short intro: A compact fleet of restored Trabant 601s for short self-drive hires, chauffeur rides for weddings or events, and purchasable gift vouchers.

Look out for:

• A selection of Trabant 601 models shown on the site.

• Two main pricing families: Kilometertarif and Sorglos‑Tarif, with sample weekday 1‑day rates listed online.

• Online booking inquiry form and gift voucher purchases via the website.

• Chauffeur service options for events and weddings.

Best way to experience it: Book in advance through the website, choose the tariff that matches expected mileage, and plan routes around Hildesheim that allow easy parking and photo stops. Bring a phone mount or camera for photos; vintage cars have limited luggage space.

• Confirm the pickup/street address and meeting point with the operator (address on site not clearly listed).

• Check which tariff includes fuel and how many kilometres are covered before you drive.

• Gift vouchers and chauffeur options are available — book early for weddings/events.

• Verify insurance/driver requirements and age limits with Erlebnis Trabant when booking.
