Overview

The ASSR Antischleuderkurs at Driving Center Regensdorf is a full‑day skid‑control course combining classroom theory with on‑track practical exercises. You practice braking, slalom and evasive manoeuvres on low‑friction surfaces using either ASSR training cars or your own vehicle.

The centre has climate‑controlled theory rooms and a purpose-built 15,000 m² training area with stainless steel skid surfaces. Courses run year‑round and are led by certified instructors; expect about eight hours of instruction and timed practice sessions.

What to Expect

On arrival you’ll get a safety briefing and a short theory session covering seating, steering, braking and hazard perception.

What you do and see

  • Controlled exercises on low‑friction skid strips to feel loss of traction and recovery.
  • Slalom and evasive‑manoeuvre drills at progressively higher speeds with instructor feedback.
  • Emergency braking practice on different grip levels and demonstrations of correct steering inputs.
  • Use of ASSR training vehicles (special tyres) or your own car; instructors time and coach each run.

Things to Note

  • Course duration is about 8 hours; arrive on time for registration.
  • Wear closed shoes and weather‑appropriate clothing; you’ll get wet or cold in some exercises.
  • Bring your driving licence and vehicle papers if using your own car.
  • Weekend courses carry a CHF 20 supplement; a CHF 100 FVS subsidy may apply for Swiss residents.
