Dalton 4x4 Offroad

Dalton 4x4 Offroad runs guided Land Rover Defender 'Lakes Adventure' tours, drive‑our‑4x4 sessions, passenger rides and drive‑your‑own‑4x4 on a purpose‑built 26‑acre course. The site is in a former iron‑ore mine near Dalton‑in‑Furness and features steep climbs, water splashes and technical obstacles.

Sessions are run by trained staff with tracked routes and instructor support; the centre also offers on‑site camping for multi‑day visits. Typical opening weekends are published seasonally (Feb–Nov) so check dates before travelling.

You will either be driven around the course in a Land Rover Defender with commentary or take the wheel in a supervised 4x4 session. Expect steep inclines, mud bogs, rock climbs, cross‑axle sections and occasional water crossings across the 26‑acre site.
