Craftwerk Berlin
Overview
Craftwerk Berlin is a DIY community garage and motorcycle-focused makerspace housed in a historic industrial building. It combines supervised and self-service workstations, a showroom for classic bikes, co-working areas and a canteen/lounge.
The venue runs regular workshops and public events (welding, metalwork, themed breakfasts) and is available for shoots, corporate off-sites and rentals. Arrive by car or taxi; parking tips and gate instructions are on their contact page.
What to Expect
Start by checking the event calendar or booking a supervised session; staff run both guided workshops (e.g., welding, motorcycle maintenance) and self‑service shop sessions.
What you'll see and do:
- Work on motorcycles at dedicated bays or use metalworking and wood tools in supervised sessions.
- Browse the classic motorcycle gallery and the showroom space used for events and shoots.
- Attend public events like Dapper Breakfast, Espresso GT or sundowner meetups.
- Hire the space for filming, launches or company days; three-phase power and high ceilings suit shoots.
Best way to experience it:
Plan a booked workshop or a supervised "Wingman" session to use tools and get tech support; allow time to tour the showroom and check parking/gate instructions before arrival.
Things to Note
- Book supervised sessions or events in advance; workshops have limited spots.
- Address: Josef-Orlopp-Straße 56, 10365 Berlin; see contact page for gate/arrival details.
- On-site parking nearby (Netto/Rusche area) but street parking can be limited.
- Venue is also an event/film location; areas may be closed during private hires.
