Caterham Cars
Overview
Visit Caterham's rebuilt Dartford facility to watch components, paint booths and individual build bays where the Seven is assembled by hand. Tours are run by the Caterham Experiences team and focus on the production process and company history.
The official Factory Tour lasts about 2.5 hours and is available by pre-booking only; the site includes disabled parking and a visitor reception at Unit 10, Rennie Drive, Dartford DA1 5FD.
What to Expect
On the Factory Tour you'll follow the flow of a Caterham from parts to finished car, with staff explaining assembly steps and quality checks.
What you'll see:
- Individual build bays where cars are assembled and mechanics explaining specific stages.
- Paint shop and engine workshop areas; you may observe vehicles at different production stages.
- Parts warehouse and quality-control stations used during final checks.
- Opportunity to ask questions to experience hosts; small group sizes for close-up views.
Best way to experience it:
Book in advance via the Experiences team (experiences@caterham.com), arrive at reception on time, wear sensible closed-toe shoes, and allow the full 2.5 hours so you can move through all stages without rushing.
Things to Note
- Pre-booking required; no walk-ins accepted.
- Tour duration approximately 2.5 hours.
- Disabled parking available at the far end of the car park.
- Wear closed-toe shoes and follow site safety briefings.
