Cape York Motorcycle Adventures

Family‑run since 1990, Cape York Motorcycle Adventures runs fully guided off‑road motorcycle tours across Cape York Peninsula from their Barron (Cairns) base. Routes range from 3‑day escapes to 8‑day Cairns→Darwin expeditions, using purpose‑built enduro bikes and newer adventure models for higher‑comfort trips.

The company is eco‑certified and has won regional adventure tourism awards. Tours include bike hire, experienced guides, route planning, and staged camping or lodge stays depending on the itinerary.

You’ll ride maintained off‑road/enduro motorcycles over dirt tracks, river crossings and remote outback roads, led by experienced guides who handle logistics and local knowledge.

What you’ll do:

• Ride daily stages (typically 100–300 km) on mixed dirt, sand and gravel, with guided briefings each morning.
• Use provided bikes (e.g., Suzuki DR‑Z400E) or upgraded adventure bikes on premium tours (CFMOTO 800MTs).
• Camp or stay in simple lodges; meals and basic gear support included on multi‑day itineraries.
• Cross remote sections where fuel, water and phone coverage are limited—guides carry spares and first aid.
