2027 IMSA Rolex 24 At Daytona

Daytona International Speedway · Daytona, United States28–31 Jan 20274 days

About This Event

The Rolex 24 At Daytona is a 24 hour race that opens the North American sports car season, and it runs straight through the night from Saturday into Sunday. Four classes, GTP prototypes, LMP2, GTD Pro and GTD, share a 3.56 mile road course that links the speedway's banking with its infield.

What to Expect

  • Four days of on track running, Thursday 28 to Sunday 31 January, with the 24 hour race starting Saturday 30 January and finishing Sunday 31 January.
  • The BMW M Endurance Challenge At Daytona runs in support, with GS and TCR class cars on the same road course.
  • Admission ticket holders get into the garages to see the cars and teams up close, and the Hard Rock Bet Fanzone runs at the track through the event.
  • Campgrounds fill the infield and the edges of the property: The Shores at Lake Lloyd in the middle of the infield, Yellow inside Turns 1 and 2, Red in the central infield, Orange inside Turns 3 and 4, and Park West RV outside Turns 1 and 2.
  • Late January in Daytona Beach averages about 21°C (69°F) by day and 9°C (48°F) at night (NOAA 1991 to 2020 normals), so the overnight stint of the race is a lot colder than the start.

Best Way to Experience It

  • The Roar Before the Rolex 24 runs 22 to 24 January 2027, a week before the race: teams practise in their new cars before the season starts, and entry is included with Rolex 24 multi day admission.
  • The 4 Day Admission covers Thursday to Sunday and is the ticket that includes the driver autograph session, on top of garage access and the Fanzone.
  • Taste of the 24 on Saturday 30 January is a NASCAR Foundation add on with food samples and live entertainment in the Midway Suites, with views of the racing.

Good to Know

  • Driving: Daytona International Speedway is at 1801 W International Speedway Blvd, Daytona Beach, and the speedway names I-95 and I-4 as the main routes. Lot 4 parking is sold in advance for Thursday, Friday or as a 2 day pass, with ADA parking and assistance in Lot 4. 2027 parking prices are not yet published.
  • Public transport: Votran runs the Volusia County bus network. No race day bus or shuttle to the speedway has been announced for 2027.
  • Rideshare and taxis: Uber and Lyft both operate in Daytona Beach. The official rideshare drop off and pick up is near Lot 1, off the frontage road by Cracker Barrel on International Speedway Blvd (eastbound), with signs along the boulevard.
  • Best value route: Without a car, rideshare to the Lot 1 point is the one way in with a published drop off at the speedway for 2027.
  • Gates and reentry: Every ticket holder can leave and come back on any day: the ticket is scanned out and back in, and bags are searched each time. Trams run from the Lot 1 Tram Plaza near the AdventHealth Injector gate to the infield, the Hard Rock Bet Fanzone and Lot 6.
  • Bringing things in: Up to two bags per person at 18 x 18 x 14 inches, plus one soft sided cooler up to 14 x 14 x 14 inches. Sealed food and drinks, alcohol included, are allowed, glass is not, and insulated cups up to 64 oz are fine. Hard coolers, collapsible chairs, drones, tripods, monopods and selfie sticks are not allowed.
  • Cash and cards: Concessions and the ticket office are cashless, taking American Express, Discover, Mastercard and Visa.
  • Kit: Umbrellas are banned, so rain cover means a jacket. Blankets and extra layers are allowed for the cold overnight hours.
