2027 Easter Jeep Safari
About This Event
Easter Jeep Safari is nine days of guided trail runs out of Moab, Utah, organised by the local club Red Rock 4 Wheelers, and the week Jeep regularly picks to preview its concept vehicles. Every day groups of registered rigs leave town for the slickrock and canyon trails around Moab, and the Safari ends on Easter Sunday.
What to Expect
- More than 44 guided trail rides ran in 2026, rated from beginner to advanced
- The Safari now runs through Easter Sunday instead of finishing on the Saturday, and the club says Wednesday is becoming the biggest trail day of the week
- The vendor expo fills Old Spanish Trail Arena on Thursday 25 and Friday 26 March with off road manufacturers, builders and gear companies, and the vendors stock a giveaway drawing on Friday at 6:30pm
- Late March around Moab is dry, but spring rain and snow are possible, and the trails range from about 1,200 metres (4,000 feet) in town to over 3,350 metres (11,000 feet) in the La Sal Mountains
Best Way to Experience It
- Trail entries are per vehicle per day, so a trip can be one trail day or several in a row; registration stays open until each trail fills
- Check in is at Old Spanish Trail Arena from 7am to 10am each morning of the Safari and all day on the two expo days, Thursday and Friday; it is closed on the Saturday before Easter and on Easter Sunday
- The Safari magazine, mailed in January, lists trail departure points, and the club's Trails page has GPS coordinates and maps for each official trail
Good to Know
- Driving: Old Spanish Trail Arena is at 3641 S Highway 191, south of Moab town
- Public transport: the nearest Amtrak station is Green River, Utah; Canyonlands Regional is the closest airport, with Grand Junction Regional in Colorado the larger option
- Rideshare and taxis: Uber lists Moab on its own city page; every trail entry runs in a registered vehicle, so a ride covers check in and the expo only
- Best value route: driving in with the 4WD that will run the trails, since registration is per vehicle per day
- Tickets: from US$75 per vehicle per trail day; registration is online only from January 2027, one profile per person and one vehicle per profile per day, and it covers the event trail permits except Elephant Hill. Written cancellations before the deadline on your confirmation are refunded less a US$15 fee, and nothing is refunded for breakdowns or weather unless the club cancels the trail
- Kit: the club runs all trail communications at its events on GMRS radio
- Bringing things in: drones are not allowed on event trail rides
- Last verified: 18 October 2026

Is This Event Right For You?
- No Jeep? Any full size, street legal 4WD can enter, along with street legal rock buggies; UTVs, sand buggies, crawlers and ATVs cannot
- Stock vehicle? Stock 4WDs handle many of the lower difficulty trails, while the hardest terrain suits high clearance, heavily modified rigs, and driver skill counts for a lot
- Not driving a trail? The vendor expo was free to walk in in 2026; 2027 expo admission is not yet announced by the organiser
