Super GT's first non-Japanese event, held at Sepang since the series raced here as the All Japan GT Championship in 2000. A 300km sprint with one mandatory pit stop, featuring GT500 prototypes and GT300 machinery on Hermann Tilke's 5.5km layout — 15 corners, a 927-metre back straight, and humid tropical conditions.
