2027 Philadelphia Auto Show

The Philadelphia Auto Show is an indoor consumer show at the Pennsylvania Convention Center featuring hundreds of new cars, trucks, SUVs, specialty exhibits, and ride-and-drive opportunities. It's a practical way to compare makes and models in one climate-controlled venue during January.

What makes it worth the trip:

• See a wide cross-section of current production vehicles and several manufacturer exhibits in one place.
• Ride-and-drive sessions let you test drive select models without dealing with dealerships.
• Special displays (classic cars, Custom Alley) and ticketed events add variety beyond showroom floors.

Best way to experience it:

Arrive midweek or early in the morning on weekends to avoid peak crowds. Use the official floor plan and schedule on the event website to book ride-and-drive slots and any ticketed evening events in advance. Wear comfortable shoes for walking long aisles and plan 2–4 hours to cover main pavilions.

Good to know:

• The official website has exhibitor lists, floor maps, and ride-and-drive registration; check for event-specific COVID policies or entry requirements.
• Food options at the convention center are available, and Center City parking/SEPTA stops are nearby for easy transit.

• Great if you want to compare multiple new vehicles in one indoor location.
• Great if you enjoy short on-site test drives and manufacturer demos.
• Great if you like seeing specialty exhibits like classics and Custom Alley alongside new models.
• Maybe skip if you prefer private, dealer-based test drives or in-depth negotiations rather than a broad consumer show.
