2027 Motorvation

• The 40th edition of Motorvation, run with the Summernats team, and the first on the Motorplex's rebuilt drag strip
• Burnout competition with entrants from across the country chasing prizes and a spot in the Pro Burnout Series
• Skid Row, an open skid area where entrants can have a go themselves
• Rolling cruises all weekend: the relaxed Smooth Cruise, Pit Cruising as a rolling car show, and the Supercruise with power skids down the dragstrip
• Drag and roll racing on the strip, including street car head to heads
• The Elite Pavilion show hall, where the Motorvation Champion title combines a judged show with an on track component

Best Way to Experience It

• Early bird pricing runs until 7 December
• Viewing is outdoor stadium seating, general admission plus gold reserved seats
• Bring a folding chair for the general areas
• Pack earplugs, especially for kids
• The full program drops closer to the event; Friday is listed from 1:30 PM

Good to Know

• Getting there: Perth Motorplex is in Kwinana Beach, under 30 minutes' drive south of Perth CBD, with free general parking at the venue and a paid convenience parking option. Motorvation specific parking and public transport arrangements are announced closer to the event
• Tickets: spectator tickets through the Perth Motorplex ticketing site, as a three day pass or single days with adult and kids types
• Bringing things in: your own food and sealed drinks are fine; alcohol, glass bottles and glass jars are not. Umbrellas, tents and lounges need the venue's consent first
• Reentry: get a hand stamp at the exit and keep your clipped ticket for that day to come back in
• Cameras: personal use only; lenses over 300mm, tripods and video rigs are restricted
• Food and drink: food trucks on site and bars throughout the venue, with bar tickets sold at the merchandise hut
• Camping: for entrants and their buddies only, not general spectators. A camping pass costs AU$80 (about US$52) for an entrant site including one wristband, AU$80 per additional adult, AU$50 (about US$33) for ages 13 to 17, free for children aged 12 and under, and AU$50 per static vehicle, on top of an event wristband. Camping runs Friday and Saturday nights and bookings open in November. No glass, no open fires, gas BBQs are fine, generators off by 11pm, assistance dogs only
• Weather and kit: late January in Perth is hot; hat, sunscreen and water
• Based on the 2027 edition. Last updated 12 October 2026.

Best fit if ...

• You want burnouts, tyre smoke and loud street machines at close range
• You like a grassroots festival where the cruises, live music and crowd are part of the show
• You want to see WA's top show cars judged in the Elite Pavilion

Not ideal if ...

• You wanted to enter a car this year; entries sold out well before the event
• You are after a quiet, polished concours style show; this is loud, smoky and hot
• You are sensitive to noise; even the general areas sit close to the action
