2027 MotoGP Grand Prix of France

Circuit des 24 Heures du Mans · Le Mans, France14–16 May 20273 days

About This Event

The French round of MotoGP runs inside the home of the Le Mans 24 Hours, and from 2023 it broke the series' attendance records. The Bugatti Circuit is a tight 4.19 km lap dominated by first gear corners, with 24 grandstands and open natural banks spread around it.

What to Expect

  • The gates open on Thursday 13 May for ticket holders, with fan activities and no track running. Friday 14 to Sunday 16 May is on track, and Sunday is race day.
  • MotoGP, Moto2 and Moto3 share the weekend. For 2027, David Da Costa from Lyon joins the Moto3 grid with SNIPERS Team at 18 years of age, the first French rider in Moto3 since Lorenzo Fellon's last Grand Prix in 2023.
  • The Bugatti Circuit was built in 1965 around the 24 Hours track. The lap has nine right handers and five left handers, it is 13 m wide and the longest straight is 674 m.
  • 21 giant screens around the circuit carry the live pictures.
  • The bivouac areas around the track are fields where people park and sleep all weekend, in anything from a tent beside a motorbike to a camping car or minibus. They are not campsites and have no campsite facilities.

Best Way to Experience It

  • The four day ticket opens the circuit from Thursday, so the fan day comes first and Friday practice is free for walking the natural banks around the lap before choosing a spot for Sunday.
  • Reserved grandstands are numbered seats for all four days, spread across the lap: T19 to T21 at the start and finish, T14 on the pit straight, T9 at the chicane, T3 to T5 in the La Chapelle sector, T57 and T58 at Chemin aux Boeufs, T35 at the S Bleus and T23 at the Raccordement.
  • On Sunday the organiser advises arriving at about 7am. Thursday to Saturday have no set arrival time.

Good to Know

  • Driving: The GPS address is Circuit Bugatti, Le Mans. The organiser gives Paris 205 km and 2h10 on the A11, Nantes 205 km and 1h55 on the A11, Rennes 160 km and 2h on the A81, and Tours 100 km and 1h on the A28. Parking is included in every ticket and cannot be booked: the free car parks take any ticket and the purple ones only the ticket that names them. Waze links for each car park go up on the organiser's site a few days before the event.
  • Public transport: Trains from Paris Montparnasse take 54 minutes to Le Mans. In the city, Setram tram line 1 runs to its terminus Antarès, Stade Marie Marvingt, 150 m from the East gate, and bus line 5 ends at Oasis, Centre des expositions, a 15 minute walk from the Panorama or North gate. Bikes and scooters park at the East gate.
  • Rideshare and taxis: The drop off point for cars and taxis is right next to the North gate.
  • Best value route: Without a car, the tram is the shortest walk in: 150 m from its last stop to the East gate, against 15 minutes on foot from the bus terminus.
  • Tickets: From €99 (about US$111) for Sunday in 2027, plus a €10 booking fee per order, sold only on gpfrancemoto.com and the Ticketnet network. Tickets from any other seller risk being refused at the gate. E tickets go into your account from 4 May 2027, to print on A4 or keep on a phone. On the weekend, entry gates sell tickets subject to availability, by card or cash.
  • Bringing things in: Picnics are allowed, and so are plastic bottles and refillable bottles. Glass is not. Camping chairs and tables are allowed in the bivouac areas, sofas are not.
  • Food and drink: Bars and snack stands sell soft drinks and beer. The food is fast: pizza, sandwiches, burgers, hot dogs, sausage and chips, fried chicken, barbecue, pasta, ice cream and churros.
  • Camping: The bivouac areas are included in every ticket and cannot be booked. The organiser names Karting Sud, Beauséjour and Pincenardière, to the south, as the quietest. GP Camp by Lodg'ing at the Beauséjour roundabout has furnished tents for 2 to 4 people for Thursday, Friday and Saturday nights from €670 (about US$754) in 2027, with a €50 golf cart shuttle to the South gates for the three days.

Is This Event Right For You?

  • Suitable for kids? Children under 16 years of age (born after 16 May 2011) get into general admission free with a ticketed adult, with no limit on how many per adult, on proof of age at the gate. Grandstand and VIP seats need a paid ticket for every child. The organiser advises against bringing young children because of the noise and strongly recommends noise cancelling headphones.
  • Only want one day? The Sunday ticket covers race day only, and there is no Friday or Saturday ticket, so Friday or Saturday means buying the four day ticket.
  • Want a guaranteed seat? General admission is unreserved space on the natural banks, which the organiser compares to a lawn. A numbered seat for all four days needs a grandstand ticket.
  • Worried your plans might change? Tickets cannot be exchanged or refunded. The Flex cancellation service, added when you buy, refunds 90% with no reason needed up to 30 April 2027, and grandstand tickets (only) can be resold on the organiser's resale platform for a 10% commission.
  • Coming with reduced mobility? Holders of the French CMI Invalidité card get into general admission free, and a companion needs a ticket. There are two disabled car parks inside the circuit, at the ACO headquarters through the North entrance and at the South entrance, plus viewing platforms around the circuit, priority queues and accessible toilets.
  • After hospitality? All four VIP packages, Loge Prestige, Club des Pilotes, Club Grand Prix and Club du Raccordement, show as sold out for 2027, with a waiting list on the organiser's site. The Red Bull Club Chicane is listed as coming soon.
