2027 MotoGP Grand Prix of Great Britain

Silverstone Circuit · Towcester, United Kingdom13–15 Aug 20273 days

About This Event

Britain's only MotoGP round, with MotoGP, Moto2 and Moto3 racing on the former airfield at Silverstone. It is a weekend built around bikes: club riders park and display their own machines in the fanzone, and manufacturers bring their latest models to the trade village.

What to Expect

  • Friday is practice, Saturday has qualifying and the Sprint, and Sunday is the Grand Prix, with MotoGP, Moto2 and Moto3 on track every day.
  • The main stage runs live music each evening of the weekend.
  • The fanzone has family entertainment and activities for younger fans all weekend, plus official MotoGP merchandise.
  • Silverstone Museum, at the circuit, is free to MotoGP ticket holders all weekend and covers motorsport through the decades.
  • Silverstone was once an airfield, and the open site means weather can roll in at any moment, August included.

Best Way to Experience It

  • A grandstand weekend ticket roves every grandstand on Friday (Becketts, Club Corner, Luffield, Abbey B, Woodcote B and Hamilton Straight A), then gives a reserved seat for Saturday and Sunday, so practice day is the chance to sit in each stand before the two race days. A Sunday only grandstand ticket is also sold.
  • General Admission covers the viewing areas around the circuit, roving into selected grandstands, the main stage and the fanzones.
  • A three day ticket covers the main stage every evening. A Friday ticket covers the Friday evening show only.
  • Silverstone Radio on 87.7 FM carries live commentary, and radios can be added to the booking while stock lasts.

Good to Know

  • Driving: The motorway links are the M1 at junction 15a and the M40 at junction 10. On the approach the organiser's direction is to leave the sat nav and follow the blue public parking route. Official car parking is limited and is bought with the event ticket. Many car parks are on grass, up to a 30 minute walk from the main gates. Parking was from £10 in 2026 (about US$13).
  • Public transport: The nearest train stations are Milton Keynes, Northampton and Banbury. Bus transfers run from Milton Keynes and Northampton to the main entrance on Saturday and Sunday, bought online in advance as a ticket extra. No Friday service is listed. The bus was from £15 per person return in 2026 (about US$20), and 2027 timings are not yet announced by the organiser.
  • Rideshare and taxis: The official ways in for 2027 are car parking booked with the ticket, the station buses and helicopter transfers. A taxi or rideshare drop off point is not yet announced by the organiser.
  • Best value route: Motorbike parking is free at the circuit main gate with a free parking ticket booked in advance, the cheapest way in. Without a vehicle, the train to Milton Keynes or Northampton and the official bus on Saturday or Sunday is the published route to the gate.
  • Gates and reentry: Car parks open 30 minutes before the circuit gates each day, and 2027 gate times are not yet announced. Re-entry is allowed when the ticket is scanned out at the gate on the way out, with final re-entry times set on the event timetable.
  • Tickets: On sale now, online only through Silverstone, as mobile tickets in a ticket app (no paper or PDF tickets). Resale is only allowed through the official Silverstone platform, and one buyer can take up to 10 tickets. A grandstand ticket includes entry, so no General Admission ticket is needed on top.
  • Bringing things in: Food and soft drinks for personal use are allowed. Alcohol and glass are not. Bags over 20 litres are refused and bags are searched. Also banned: BBQs, drones, fireworks, lasers, step ladders, sun parasols, tents and shelters, and powered scooters other than mobility scooters. No animals apart from registered assistance dogs arranged in advance.
  • Camping: Woodcote Fields, the official campsite, lists 2027 standard pitches at £180 for two people (about US$239) and £340 for up to four (about US$452), with one living vehicle up to 7.5 m or two tents, and electric hook up at £125 (about US$166). It has parking beside the tent, hot showers, a power tent for charging, a bar, food from breakfast to dinner and evening entertainment. Event tickets are bought separately.
