2027 Mecum Indy
About This Event
Dana Mecum's Original Spring Classic is the second largest collector car auction on Mecum's calendar, a run of muscle cars, Corvettes, exotics, resto mods and motorcycles crossing a live auction block one after another. It fills the pavilions of the Indiana State Fairgrounds in Indianapolis, where anyone with an admission ticket can walk the rows of consigned cars and then watch them sell under the auctioneer's call.
What to Expect
- The 2026 sale set the Indy record: more than 2,600 lots crossed the block for about US$193 million, with a 76% sell through rate.
- The consignments cover classics, muscle cars, Corvettes, exotics, resto mods, antiques and motorcycles, with private collections sold as groups.
- Bidding runs live in the room, online and by phone at the same time.
- In 2026 the sale spread across eight fairgrounds buildings, with the Indiana Farm Bureau Fall Creek Pavilion as the main entrance and the Corteva Coliseum among the halls.
- May in Indianapolis averages a high of 23°C (73°F) and a low of 12°C (54°F), with rain on about 13 days of the month.
Best Way to Experience It
- A day splits between walking the rows of consigned cars and sitting in on the block when the cars picked out on the walk come up to sell.
- Mecum's Live Block Cam on mecum.com streams every lot, which makes it possible to keep track of the block while walking the halls.
