2027 Detroit Auto Show

North America's long-running Detroit Auto Show returns to Huntington Place for industry debuts, mobility programming and public days. Expect manufacturer exhibits, the AutoMobili‑D mobility hub, Racing Day and specialty zones like The Gallery and Modded Detroit.

Public tickets, charity preview access and media/industry credentials are managed through the official event site. The show runs January 12–24, 2027 at Huntington Place in downtown Detroit.

A concentrated showcase of production cars, concept debuts and mobility tech from legacy manufacturers and startups.

What makes it worth the trip:

• Direct access to major manufacturer displays and regional debuts.
• AutoMobili‑D and Mobility Global Forum for EV, AV and infrastructure perspectives.
• Special programming: Charity Preview, Racing Day, The Gallery and Modded Detroit for niche interests.

Best way to experience it:

Arrive on weekdays or during morning sessions to avoid peak weekend crowds; book Charity Preview for the best first-look access if available. Use Huntington Place entrances near the Cobo Center/Convention Center transit stops and plan time for both exhibit halls and dedicated programming slots.

Good to know:

• Media and industry days precede public access and require credentialing through the official site.
• On-site food, exhibitor activations and off-site downtown hotels and transit options are available; check the official schedule for timed sessions and speaker panels.

• Great if you want to see manufacturer debuts and concept reveals.
• Great if you enjoy industry panels and mobility-focused programming.
• Great if you like a mix of mainstream exhibits and specialty zones like The Gallery or Modded Detroit.
• Maybe skip if you prefer intimate car shows with small, independent collections.
