2027 Carlisle Chrysler Nationals
About This Event
Carlisle Events bills the Carlisle Chrysler Nationals as the largest Mopar event in the world, with cars from every era of the Chrysler brand, from classics and muscle cars to new high performance models. The whole Carlisle Fairgrounds in Pennsylvania turns Mopar for the weekend: the showfield, a Mopar flea market for parts, the Manufacturers Midway and a car corral where the Mopars are for sale.
What to Expect
- Thursday 8 July is early bird shopping and vendor set up from 7am to 4pm, and from 4pm Mopar Rebellion hosts a free Kick-Off to Carlisle party at the Carlisle Expo Center, a block west of the fairgrounds. The show itself runs Friday and Saturday from 7am to 6pm and Sunday from 7am to 12pm.
- Building T holds nearly 40 Mopars picked for quality, rarity or history, and the Mopar Survivors display is cars at least 25 years old with 85% or more original parts.
- The Mopar Automotive Flea Market and the Manufacturers Midway sell parts and restoration gear, and the Oasis area has the non automotive vendors and the food court.
- The action is a Friday autocross, the Real Street Shootout, and a Saturday Rolling Burnout and Donut Contest, and Saturday is when the Celebrity Choice Awards are picked.
- Free seminars cover restoration, maintenance and engine building.
- July in Carlisle averages a high of 86°F (30°C) and a low of 62°F (17°C), and the show runs rain or shine.
Best Way to Experience It
- Thursday's early bird hours suit parts hunting in the flea market before the showfield fills.
- A full Friday or Saturday fits the showfield, Building T and one of the competitions; Sunday's half day suits last minute shopping and the awards presentation.
- The Event Pass covers the whole show for US$30, the price of two single days, and a ticket from an earlier day gets you in free on Sunday.
- The free Carlisle Events app and the Event Guide, out about two weeks before the show, carry the seminar, autocross and burnout times.
Good to Know
- Driving: Carlisle is west of Harrisburg. Spectators park in the Carlisle Events lots, entering from Clay Street, for US$10 a day; general parking is free on Thursday and Sunday. The lots can fill at busy times. Gate 1 is on Clay Street and Gate 3 is on K Street, and accessible parking is through Gate 3.
- Public transport: rabbittransit Route C runs weekdays between Harrisburg Transportation Center and Carlisle, stopping at Hanover St and High St (Carlisle Courthouse). Carlisle Events publishes no shuttle from town.
- Rideshare and taxis: Uber operates in Harrisburg and lists Harrisburg International Airport (MDT) to Carlisle as a popular route. Harrisburg City Taxi, (717) 243-4343, picks up at Gates 1, 2 and 3.
- Best value route: Without a car, Route C to the Carlisle Courthouse stop and a Harrisburg City Taxi for the last leg is the one published public option; Uber covers the whole trip from Harrisburg.
- Tickets: From US$15 a day, online through carlisleevents.com or at the gate. Same day reentry needs the hand stamp and the punched ticket from that day's entry.
- Bringing things in: No glass bottles and no drones. Personal bikes, golf carts, ATVs and motorcycles cannot be ridden on the grounds from 7am to 5pm on show days.
- Food and drink: Concessions open around 6:30am with pizza, BBQ, burgers, hot dogs, chicken tenders, PA Dutch food, ice cream and pretzels. Cards and gift cards are accepted at every concession stand, and the Food Court behind the Grandstand has covered seating.
- Where to stay: Camping and trailer parking on the grounds are currently sold out for 2027, and returns may still come up. Carlisle Events runs a hotel booking line on (800) 216-1876.
