2026 World of Outlaws Sprintcars Dega Duel

A single-night World of Outlaws NOS Energy Drink Sprint Car Series event at Talladega Short Track on Friday, March 6, 2026. The program runs on the track’s 0.28-mile clay oval and features the 35-lap feature race.

Expect a compact evening program with pit gates and fan gates opening in the afternoon and hot laps in the early evening. Talladega Short Track is in Eastaboga, AL, with Birmingham-Shuttlesworth International the closest major airport.

Night racing on a tight clay oval gives a different, close-quarters sprint car feel than the big superspeedways.

What makes it worth the trip:

• World-class sprint cars on a 0.28-mile clay track — feature race is 35 laps and produces close action.
• Single-night, punchy schedule: pit gates, gates, hot laps and the feature all fall within an evening program for easy planning.
• Official results and payouts are posted by the series; the March 6, 2026 winner was Donny Schatz (winner purse reported by the series).

Best way to experience it:

Arrive when pit gates open if you want close-up access and pre-race pit activity; otherwise arrive before hot laps to find parking and seats. Expect a loud, dusty outdoor short-track environment and bring ear protection, dust-aware clothing, and a small camp chair if general admission seating is used.

Good to know:

• The venue is a 0.28-mile clay oval; closest major airport is Birmingham-Shuttlesworth International.
• Schedule times (pit gates, fan gates, hot laps) are listed on the official World of Outlaws event page and can vary by event day.

• Great if you want short-track sprint car racing with intense, close-quarters action.
• Great if you enjoy nights that combine pit access and stadium-style dirt racing atmosphere.
• Great if you like a single-evening motorsport outing that’s easy to fit into travel plans.
• Maybe skip if you prefer quiet, family-zone grandstands or paved-track road racing.
