2026 Supercars Sydney 500

Sydney Motorsport Park · Sydney, Australia20–22 Feb 2026Weekend

About This Event

The season-opening Supercars round at Sydney Motorsport Park — the only night race on the championship calendar, run under LED floodlights on the 3.93km Gardner GP Circuit in western Sydney. Three races across Friday to Sunday: a 100km sprint followed by two 200km races, with Turn 1 taken flat at 200 km/h.

What to Expect

  • Free paddock access lets you watch team preparation behind garages all weekend
  • Four support categories race: Super2 Series, V8 SuperUtes, GR Cup, Touring Car Masters
  • Saturday night concert on pit straight follows Race 2 under the lights
  • Circuit features broadcast-standard LED floodlights installed in 2020 for night racing
  • Friday offers free entry with registration — all grandstands open for general access

Best Way to Experience It

  • Covered grandstand seats 4,000 and sits near food outlets and facilities
  • Event shuttle bus from Blacktown station to circuit included with ticket
  • Unreserved Grandstand upgrade available for single-day undercover seating

Good to Know

  • Circuit located 40 kilometers west of Sydney CBD in Eastern Creek
  • Children 12 and under receive free entry all weekend with paying adult
  • Free parking available at track; follow signage and event staff on arrival
  • Priority parking near main gate available for pre-purchase
  • Closest train station is Blacktown; taxi or rideshare recommended from there

Is This Event Right For You?

  • Best fit if you enjoy championship openers — 2026 Repco Supercars Championship season-opener features Toyota's historic competitive series debut, three-race sprint format kicks off 14-round calendar, fresh championship battles begin.
  • Best fit if you like night racing — Australia's only Supercars night race under LED lighting towers, Turn 1 at 200 km/h makes it arguably the country's fastest corner, 43-meter elevation changes visible across illuminated 3.93km circuit.
  • Best fit if you value family-friendly events — Free Friday entry for all ages, kids 12-under free all weekend with paying adult, AU$42 single-day general admission, live music and festival atmosphere beyond racing.
  • Not ideal if you prefer street circuit racing — Permanent circuit format with flowing corners and acceleration zones rather than street circuit walls, Sydney Motorsport Park's open layout lacks urban backdrop of original 2009-2016 Sydney 500 street course.
