2026 Rallye Monte-Carlo Historique

The Rallye Monte‑Carlo Historique is a classic-car rally organised by the Automobile Club de Monaco, running 29 January–7 February 2026 with the traditional finish in Monte‑Carlo at Port Hercule. The event reunites period-correct competition cars on timed special stages and liaison sections across French mountain roads.

Expect competitive itinerary documents from ACM with route notes and official timetables; public viewing is focused at mountain stages and the Monte‑Carlo finish rather than a single arena.

An iconic winter historic rally that tests period cars and crews on slippery alpine roads, with a ceremonial start and a finish on Port Hercule.

What makes it worth the trip:

• Historic cars driven on authentic Monte‑Carlo stages not normally open to the public.
• Port Hercule finish gives close-up views of cars, crews, and official parc fermé.
• Strong organiser documentation (ACM) with daily schedules and media/press materials.

Best way to experience it:

Arrive with a plan for at least one mountain stage day and the Monte‑Carlo finish. Check the ACM timetable for stage locations and typical start/finish windows; pick a roadside vantage near a stage hairpin or a staffed spectator area. Book accommodation early in nearby towns—stages run in the Alps and access can be limited in winter.

Good to know:

• The ACM publishes official regulations, entry lists, and timing; follow those for exact stage maps and spectator guidance.
• Mountain weather can be icy; wear traction-ready boots, layers, and allow extra travel time between viewpoints.

• Great if you want close access to period rally cars and crews in a historic setting.
• Great if you enjoy alpine road stages and short, photo-friendly viewing stops.
• Great if you like organised motorsport with official schedules and documented routes.
• Maybe skip if you prefer large fan festivals with permanent grandstands and on-site amenities.
