2026 In-N-Out Burger NHRA Finals

• Spectator gates open at 8am Friday to Sunday. Friday and Saturday each carry two qualifying sessions for the four Mission Foods pro classes (Top Fuel, Funny Car, Pro Stock and Pro Stock Motorcycle), with nitro qualifying at 1pm and 3:30pm Friday and at 11:30am and 2pm Saturday; Sunday eliminations start at 11am with Top Fuel.
• Between the pro sessions run Top Alcohol qualifying and eliminations, Legacy Nitro Funny Car, Sportsman eliminations, the Summit JDRL National Shootout for junior racers and an LASD Racing Exhibition. (Our experience in 2024: the noise of a Top Fuel pair has to be heard in person, and you feel the launch through the stands.)
• NHRA lists appearances by Tony Schumacher, Tommy Ivo, Sean Bellemeur, Terry Vance and Del Worsham, plus a new look Nitro Mall and special displays.
• Friday at 12:45pm there is a Veterans Day ceremony, and Sunday opens with the SealMaster Track Walk and driver introductions at 10am. (Our experience in 2024: the surface on the track walk is so sticky your shoes grab at it.)
• Pomona in November averages highs from about 22°C (72°F) at the start of the month to about 18°C (64°F) at the end, lows of 10°C to 6°C (50°F to 43°F), and a 7% to 11% chance of a wet day. (Our experience in 2024: showers came and went all Friday, and Saturday was sunny.)

Best Way to Experience It

• Use Friday general admission to scope the place out from the fence line in front of the grandstands. (Our experience in 2024: general admission let us stand right down the front along the track, fine for most of the day, without the view over the strip the stands give.)
• Take a grandstand seat on Saturday for the last two nitro qualifying sessions. (Our experience in 2024: the reserved grandstand gave the view looking down over the track that the fence line does not.)
• Tony Schumacher signs autographs at the Mission Food Display at 8:30am Saturday, before the day's first nitro session.
• Save the Top Eliminator Club for Sunday: NHRA's members only hospitality centre with complimentary food and drinks, a members only souvenir store, driver appearances, a gift bag and a view of the staging lanes. (Our experience in 2024: the club near the start line was the best seat of the weekend for watching cars on the grid and the launches.)
• Stay on after the nitro cars finish on Saturday for Top Alcohol eliminations, Legacy Nitro Funny Car eliminations and Sportsman racing. (Our experience in 2024: the stands emptied once the nitro sessions were done while Junior Dragsters and Sportsman cars kept running, an easy time to watch.)

Good to Know

• Driving: Pomona is east of downtown Los Angeles, and NHRA's event guide gives the dragstrip address as 1801 W McKinley Ave, Pomona, CA 91768.
• Public transport: The LA Metro A Line stops at La Verne/Fairplex station, across Arrow Highway from Fairplex, and Foothill Transit lines 197, 291 and 492 also serve the station.
• Rideshare and taxis: Uber and Lyft both operate across Los Angeles.
• Best value route: Without a car, the A Line is the cheapest way in: it is the one rail line with a station at Fairplex, at the flat Metro fare.
• Tickets: NHRA sells tickets on its own site, nhra.evenue.net, linked from the event page, with ticket questions to nto@nhra.com or 800-884-6472. All ticket sales are final.
• Seating and shade: Folding chairs and umbrellas are not allowed; seat cushions and seat backs up to 18 x 10 inches are.
• Kit: A rain jacket or poncho, a warm layer for the evening, and an FM radio for the track PA on 90.5 FM.

• Suitable for kids? Children aged 12 years and under get in free in the general admission area with a paid adult.
• Worried about rain? NHRA says its events may be delayed, postponed or rescheduled for weather. Tickets are not refunded, and weather changes fall under the NHRA Ticket Exchange Policy. Friday racing at the 2025 Finals was postponed for weather and pro qualifying moved to Saturday.
• Trying to keep costs down? Your own food and drinks, water and soft drinks included, can come in non glass containers, in a hard or soft cooler up to 14 x 14 x 14 inches. Alcohol cannot be brought in.
• Only have one day? Sunday is the one day the pro classes race eliminations, through to the final round of the season. (Our experience in 2024: Sunday was the day to pick, and the last pair of the day decided a championship.)
