2026 Montreal International Auto Show

The 81st Salon de l'Auto de Montréal runs January 16–25, 2026 at the Palais des congrès de Montréal. The show brings manufacturers, EV test drives, performance and overlanding zones, and family programming under one central downtown roof.

Expect large exhibit halls with around 30+ brands, AJAC award displays, and on-site driving experiences operated with partners like CAA‑Québec and PowerQ.

See the latest production models, EVs, and specialty builds across a compact, walkable convention‑centre layout.

What makes it worth the trip:

• Directly compare 30+ manufacturers and AJAC's 12 Best Vehicles in Canada for 2026 on display.
• Try EVs and light models through organized test drives run by CAA‑Québec and PowerQ.
• Browse focused zones for performance, overlanding and family activities without spanning multiple sites.

Best way to experience it:

Arrive midweek or during weekday mornings to avoid peak weekend crowds; use the Peel or Place-d'Armes metro stops for easiest access. Reserve any test drives early on the event website and allow time to walk exhibits and special zones.

Good to know:

• The show announces many exhibitors and AJAC winners; check the official exhibitor list for exact brands before you go.
• General admission information and specific ticket types are listed on the event site; some experiences and test drives require separate registration.

• Great if you want to compare new models and EVs from multiple brands in one visit.
• Great if you enjoy hands-on EV test drives organized by local partners.
• Great if you like a family-friendly auto show with performance and overlanding zones.
• Maybe skip if you prefer outdoor driving events or full-length manufacturer road tests.
