2026 Kumeu Classic Car & Hot Rod Festival

Large annual show at Kumeu Showgrounds featuring indoor and outdoor car displays, swap sites, trade stands, live bands and kids' entertainment.

Runs mid-January across three days with a mix of static displays and vendor areas suitable for families and enthusiasts.

A three-day celebration of classic cars and hot rods at Kumeu Showgrounds. Expect thousands of vehicles, vendor stalls, live music and family-friendly activities.

What makes it worth the trip:

• Massive scale with over 4,000 cars claimed on the official site, offering a wide variety of classic and custom vehicles.
• Swap sites and trade stalls where you can find parts, memorabilia and specialist vendors not commonly available in-store.
• On-site food hall, live bands and dedicated kids' entertainment make it a full-day outing for non-enthusiasts too.

Best way to experience it:

Arrive early on Saturday for the largest display hours; use the official Flicket link for tickets and check daily opening times (Friday afternoon, Saturday early-to-evening, Sunday morning). Allow time for parking and walking between indoor and outdoor areas; wear sun protection and comfortable shoes.

Good to know:

• Admission listed on the official site: $25 per adult; kids under 12 free.
• Event runs 15–17 January 2026 with daily hours posted on the official site; contact organisers for sponsor or sanctioning-body details.

• Great if you want a one-stop look at hundreds of classic and hot-rod cars.
• Great if you enjoy browsing swap meets and specialist automotive stalls.
• Great if you like a family-friendly event with music and kids' activities.
• Maybe skip if you prefer small, curated car shows over very large public festivals.
